From our company headquarter in Hanau, we ship our dance shoes to more than 50 countries around the world. We offer our shoes via specialist retailers who can also provide appropriate high-quality consulting expertise.

Our quality promise

A dance shoe has to look good – no doubt about it. But we’re not satisfied with just an attractively design dance shoe. Simply because the foot of dancer just needs so much more. The typical Werner Kern harmonious triad of exclusive design, high-quality materials and perfect craftsmanship makes certain that our dance shoes make you look that best you can while even withstanding the most extreme strains.

We can only achieve this by complying with the very strictest quality standards at all levels of production, with superior Italian design, hand-selected materials, a large portion of artesian production methods as well as shipping in individually manufacturer protective packaging of the very highest quality.

We hand select all of the materials we use and test them in accordance with pertinent European environmental and health standards. All uppers are made of the very finest nappa leather of Mediterranean origin as it provides a particularly soft and gentle fit and is optically very convincing with its elegant structure and special shine. We only select leather by hand, piece by piece. During the purchasing process, we already take the hide's ultimate usage into consideration. For our lining, we only use high-quality moisture-absorbent leather that ensures a pleasant "dancing temperature" for the feet.

We manufacture the soles of our dance shoes from a special kind of suede as it optimally combines the properties required for dancing: light, controlled gliding, high flexibility and a good floor feeling.

In our manufacturing facilities in Italy, our highly qualified members of staff produce Werner Kern and Nueva Epoca dance shoes in more than 120 work steps, most steps of which are largely still performed by hand. Each shoe is subject to a strict quality test and only shoes that pass this test receive the Werner Kern seal of quality.

Our fits have been tried and tested by thousands of dancers and continually further developed for several decades. This is why our shoes are comfortable to dance in.
